There's a free genealogy course running on Futurelearn at the moment if anyone is interested. Also came across an online lecture about the difference between Ancestry, Family Search, FMP and My Heritage that was quite interesting:

Etefy is a new online grocery firm, with one hour delivery within the M25 area. No minimum order and no delivery charge. So you can order a single item, and they'll deliver it.
Does this make any sense financially? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I saw the ads, as my Facebook says I live in 'London' rather than '(insert town name in Inner Herts here)'.vivatifosi wrote: »They want £2.15 for a cauliflower!
Ouch! Obviously the answer to GDB's post is yes (rolls eyes emoji). I paid £1 in Tesco on Friday.💙💛 💔0 -
But the other day I looked in the cupboard and we were short of self raising flour for a cake we wanted to make. We walked to the local shop and bought it. Etefy will deliver a bag for a grand total of 75p. And the delivery is within an hour, meaning somebody has to make a special trip.
So they are taking a pretty big gamble, because they're losing on small orders and gaining on large ones, but there's no way for them to control the mix.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Loss leader. Soon they will charge for delivery or have a minimum order.
Maybe they hope you will tip the driver?

For every person willing to shop at 2 supermarkets each week to take advantage of special offers there are 99 who will shop at Waitrose, M&S or Sainsburies and pay 30% more for the same food.
Plus people will happily pay 2 quid for a bottle of drink at a station when they could buy 4 bottles for the same price at the supermarket and carry one with them.
This is why the whole castigating energy companies for high standard charges is wrong headed. It is not the companies making profits that is the problem, it is that most consumers are too lazy to spend 15 minute since a year to save a couple of hundred quid. Seen a We buy any car advert recently 'We admit we give a pretty poor deal but it will save you a few hours' is the strapline.I think....0 -

Hope people do order more/encourage them to buy more through POS marketing and deals/offers and showing them what else they might like in their basket.
Change the rules to filter out the peasants.
If you want flour, do you need eggs/milk?
Would you like to buy a ready made cake instead?
What about a bottle of wine to go with the cake you're probably making?
... and this week's special offer with flour is to buy a cake stand for £25.
You're really good at this, Pastures :T0 -
