Sounds like you're pleased with it PN. Really pleased for you.
    I am :)
I even managed a bit of Youtube earlier - a couple of short whole programmes. Just left it to buffer for a minute to start and then it pretty much ran OK for the duration of those, although I did pause them both as I also popped off to put the kettle on etc, but that helped it "keep up" ... and SOUND :)

I've found Notepad... they tried to hide it. I use Notepad a lot. I was going to google to see if there's a replacement that's better, but not got round to it yet.

It seems faster, which could be for a variety of reasons. The Internet is slow to start when I go to a site, but, as it's an optical drive, that probably helps with caching etc and speed of access etc... so "it's faster" as a PC as it's also unencumbered by over a decade of Windows updates and files getting in the way of where it wants to save stuff ... such as page file size and things like that. Drive's virtually "empty".

I used to have Evernote on the old one, synched to the Internet... but had to stop synching and only use it on the Internet after an update when it refused to deal with XP any longer... I'll get round to loading Evernote on here soon and synch that. Probably best done overnight, it's a huge file I've got built up.

I know it's rude to laugh .... but you can't help it when "the flaming obvious" is right before you ....

I know it's the nice people thread, but it made me giggle... and I know that's wrong ... and how'd I feel ... but, hey ....

A VERY large bird on Facebook is thanking the person who got her car out of a parking space because she couldn't .... get into the car :)

The width of them is ridiculous now isn't it (I mean the car parking space widths, not women ... although that applies increasingly often). I always try to park on an end spot, even if I have to walk miles... just so I know I can always get in when I return. Although, if it were me .... I'd climb in the back and over all the seats.

The relevant OT has just been and has approved the recommendations from the council OT. So I am getting the bathroom and toilet knocked into one and, a wet room and a wet/dry toilet installed, a stair lift and level ramped access to the front which will require a new (widened) front door.

All measurements taken, just got to wait for the paperwork, she estimates it should all be in in around 2 to 3 months.

I have large friends who booked extra leg room seats on Air Transit (low cost Canadian airline). On board they couldn't quite fit into their seats. The extra leg room seats have the seat trays built into the arms of the seat, resulting in the arms not moving and the remaining seat being narrower. So great for 6 foot beanpoles, not much use for shorter more rounded people. They had to swap seats.

I wouldn't want to be the next person to use that armrest.

Why can't they put some bigger spaces a bit further away?
The local Tesco (for example) has a really big car park, which I've never seen anywhere near full.

Ooh, you're on form today :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have to admit, I've found my Duster far easier to get in and out of in tight spaces than my Merc was, despite them being about the same width, just a different height. The principal difference is that in the Duster you just step down out or up in so don't need to open the door as far as the Merc where you had to unfold yourself whilst standing up or lower and fold yourself up to get into the seat, all whilst between the seat and the door.

I do think that it's somewhat discriminatory that they do provide extra wide spaces, but only for people with an army of sproglets who you just know will run amok once inside the store ;)
