Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

    Nice to meet you too.

Quite a lot has happened. Will keep it brief.

After my mental breakdown, I was declared unfit to work so early retirement at 61. Took a long while to get well. Luckily I had no problem with Atos.

Then my bro in law leaves my wifes sister for some one else. She could no way keep up the mortgage or indeed down size to something affordable. 4 cats and an immature 18 year old to look after.

Engaging a good solicitor we managed to get a good deal for her and my wife and I decided to buy him out. A 3 bed detached in the south east is not cheap, however, he this was just before a really sharp increase due to the London rail link. Certainly would not be an option now.
Although we are still in Plymouth we do intend to move there permanently.

Next comes the news I may have bowel cancer. Part of my bowel was removed and it was cancer but the hospital sent me home with the wound infected. Back in within a few days and they re operate. Success, apart from a large hernia making me look 8 months pregnant.

Next, a scan suggests stomach cancer. After tests and a reluctant biopsy, it proved negative and got the all clear this January.

So now getting stuff ready to move.

Poor you! You've certainly been through the wars. It puts any problems the rest of us have faced into perspective.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Um... Not sure how much I want to talk about here tbh

Fir had a couple of great career moves, and is somewhere he loves right now.
My greyhound died. We have another little dog. It's weird owning small dogs only.

Some horrid person made me join face book. I am connected to s couple of nice people that way but I am not so forthcoming there. I mainly post dog pictures and like art things and animals
Sad to hear about big dog, glad to hear about fir. Also interested to hear about you L.

    All NP are interesting.

DKs are going through early teenage angst. DW is going through late teenage angst. At this stage I read SC and SS's posts with envy.
