    :hello:

And I am female, age 47, divorced with 3 sons (23,20,19).
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

What was wrong with Spain, if it's not a touchy subject? You were there quite a long time if you didn't like it!

Two other things whilst I'm in tactless mode:

I remember your username, too. I think it's brilliant.

I looked up your St Augustine quote, to find out some of the background. Wikipedia says it originated during the 30 years war, i.e. long after he died. It doesn't detract from the sense behind it, of course.

Nothing. We never intended it to be a permanent move. It was just time to come back.

Hello seven-day-weekend. Have seen you a bit around the forum, love your name! :)

68 soon to be 69 here. What happened? ;)

47 years married, 2 daughters, 4 GrandKids (Twin boys aged 6, boy 4 and girl 2 - all delightful but totally exhausting!)

Quite badly disabled with ME/CFS, lost DLA (lowest care, high mobility) around a year ago. Finally got to Tribunal for PIP in June, where I was awarded top rate for both Living and Moving Around, with a nice back dated amount that should go most of the way to any up front payment for a new Motability car... Will be shopping for it when we go home in September.

Currently on holday in Bwlchtocyn (Wales), last summer in this caravan, we're in process of ordering a new one. First time we've bought from new - always second hand before. Scary process, and horribly expensive since we have certain things that we can't do without! ;) (mainly a gas rather than electric fire, and views out the side of the "hedge" so I can watch the greedy birds at the feeders) At least new one will have a washing machine, which will be useful!

This is where I should put up a photo of our view, but they're all a bit out of date. Maybe tomorrow if the weather improves!

We have a static caravan in Wales too, in Snowdonia in hilly woodland between Porthmadog and Beddgelert. We love it, it's a home from home.

Hahahahahahahha! I really have got to laugh!

I've been watching re-runs of Midsomer Murders. Some I'd seen before, but a lot I hadn't. The ways and means of the murders being commited are very inventive, but the latest one, when I read the plot summary on the TV guide, just made me burst out laughing!

    And I quote;-

"When farmer Martin Strickland is covered in truffle oil and mauled to death by a wild boar, the investigation leads to restaurant Wyvern House and its tyrannical chef".

    :rotfl:

Firstly, what a waste of good truffle oil, and secondly, the vision of a wild boar thinking that all its truffly dreams had come true! :rotfl:

I do love this series! :)

Ouch! I should have worn long trousers for strimming nettles! :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Oooh, did they get you bad? I hope you aren't in pain. You need...

Long trousers, long socks, long sleeved top tucked into gloves, glasses (well you do if like mine they are taller than you).

I need to do mine. I was looking for an alternative to strimming, perhaps something like a sickle. Any ideas team?

Was it here that I read that they contain formic acid, the same as ant stings.
