Yes thanks. How is your recovery going?
Astonishingly well, actually. It was meant to be keyhole surgery, but in the end the surgeon had to do an open operation. Even so, the wound has healed up nicely. I'm able to go for 4/5 mile walks, albeit more slowly than before. And today is exactly one month after the op.
Twenty years ago, 1 in 12 people having that operation died within 90 days. That's been improved now to 1 in 50.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Glad to hear recovery is going well GDB. Being able to take walks that long in such a short space of time is remarkable. Pleased to hear the scary stays have improved too. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Block garages.....you don't actually have to use it if you have off street parking. You could even rent it out.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sorry it's not going so well, PN. As SC says, you don't have to use the garage. I guess the footpath is a no-no, though.
I've just had an MRI scan. It turns out that M&S sew metal tags onto some of their underpants. Presumably, they think it helps sales. I didn't know this, and it was a first for the radiographer, too. So, she got out some scissors, removed the tag, and redid part of the MRI scan.
I've got the images on a disc. Most of them, I can't even tell which way up they go.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Pretty sure the tag is RFID, it helps them with automated stock control, I think. I first heard of these tags about twelve years ago so they haven't been around forever.0 -

SO as well as identifying stock pre-sale, can they be used to see where their underpants end up after sale?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. So, despite all the years I grew up expecting robot servants, jetpacks and a strong risk of world war three instead I got robots fighting on TV, civil wars in European countries that didn't exist until a few decades ago, morons stumbling into high power positions and finally sentient/bionic underwear.

You mean that you want to keep the car in the garage? Nobody does that round here. The garages were built in the 1920s and the cars have grown much bigger since then. I think we could just about drive our car in, but then we'd have to drive it out again so we could open the door.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
