Saga Magazine article - How to Make Money Entering Competitions

I do like effort comps where you make up a rhyme, slogan etc, but don't like cooking or baking. I tend to do most of my comping whilst I am sat watching TV, so am happy to enter prize draws where the chance of winning is thousands to one, because it is time spent when I am just watching TV. My daughter would not class herself as a comper, but she is often on facebook and she knows which local pubs, clubs, shops etc. have regular competitions and has often won a bottle of booze in a nightclub or some burgers from the local takeaway.0

I enter the slogan ones whenever they come up as I like word play and composing rhymes. The last one was this:

I used to have a reasonable success rate with them. However my last win with a slogan comp was about five years ago now. I doubt that they get judged. It is probably just the first reasonable one drawn that wins.0 -
There is another effort / wordplay one here:

The last success I had with a play on words was about 18 months ago. It won me a £500 voucher :-)0 -
Apologies for bumping up the thread, but (it isn't Saga) this popped up on my FB feed this morning.

Another one - BUT, there seems to be a bit more honesty in this article. Still annoying though.
I await more people coming on here complaining about entering a couple of comps and not winning.
