LATAM Airline

I am posting this as a new thread as I can't find any mention of this airline. I was on an escorted tour of South America organised by Mercury (Sun Spot) Tours. Our flight on 4th June with this South American airline was cancelled . I have used the Resolver tool to claim the maximum compensation from them of 600 Euros. I have an email (direct to my quoted email) from the customer Services team granting this compensation. GREAT! The problem is that they require that I send details of my bank account to send the compensation via a "contact form" (using the LATAM website latam.com, then selecting Help Center and Contact Form.)
In fact I used this form even before using the resolver tool so included the Reference number generated, on the resolver tool. This form is just a general complaint form and has no spaces for bank details. Also it is NOT on a secure https site. I am now at an impass with no reply from the lady who sent me the email or any other team member. All the submitting of the form does, is generate ANOTHER action reference ! which just confuses the issue. Anyone else dealt with LATAM? (listed as LAN on the list of airlines in the Resolver tool)

I suspect since they are an airline based in S America they have relataively few EU261 claims and the system may not be set up to take bank details. If there was a real email address, i.e. one with a human name attached as opposed to customerservice@latam, I would be tempted to send your details in an ordinary email0

Thanks for that. I did finally phone them up and tried to speak to the lady who sent the email. In spite of a poor line and difficulty understanding the accent of the man who replied ,it seems I DO have to send bank details by email reply. I have first sent a reply requesting confirmation but may only get an automated reply which DOES say that. The sending of a contact form via their site was only to confirm I wanted the cash and not an airline voucher for another flight. I know this is not secure but it seems I have no option.
