Contact Lens/Deodorant in Checked baggage?

Hi all,

I am writing on this forum in the hope that someone replies in the next few hours so I can adjust as necessary before my flight this afternoon.

I have a 250ml Contact lens solution and a 150ml deodorant bottle.

My understanding is that neither can go in my hold baggage as they are over 100ml, but, over 100ml or not, they are safe to go in the checked baggage?

I cannot seem to find a clear answer on this and need to do.

Your checked-in baggage is carried in the hold of the aircraft and is sometimes referred to as 'hold baggage'. The hand luggage or cabin bag(s) that you take on board with you should not be referred to or understood as 'hold baggage'. Perhaps this is the source of your confusion.

Your bottles of liquid in excess of 100ml cannot be carried in your hand luggage, but there is no such restriction on having them in your checked-in luggage. Make sure they are well sealed and preferably inside a ziplock bag in case of leakage, because of the reduced pressure in the hold during flight.
