Emails go to the CEO office and are usually read by the CEO's PA, this is then either given to the CEO or sent to the exec office pool.
I have had replies direct from CEOs when i have used the CEOs email, so it depends on the company.

In some cases, when you send a complaint email to a CEO it will be read by somebody else than the CEO. Then in other cases, just as @angryparcel notes, it will be read by the CEO. What should be mentioned is that you don't have the CEOemail as the only option, if you want to find details to get in touch with the CEO for the company in question. In some cases it works with [EMAIL="firstname.lastname@businessname.com"]firstname.lastname@businessname.com[/EMAIL]. In other cases you could get in touch with the CEO through LinkedIn.

There is a flaw with ceoemail[dot]com website. I can and have sent ems to loads of ceos.

I have never paid the website and never will.

I can't divulge the flaw but I have a good reason for my ems to ceos.

Please remember if you don't speak to the ceo directly, you will be contacting someone with the LOA to help.
