Fisherjim- yes we thought about that especially as we couldn't find his name under their list of staff but the letter does say to telephone them on their number 01926 758101 Leamington Spa to pay. In light of their success on the staff at Cardiff Hospital, can they keep putting up the charges with each letter?0

They can add what they want, but costs are extremely limited in the small claims court. For a £100, if the case was lost, the additional costs would be no more than £75-£100.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Can you at least try to do some research into this rather than blindly asking the same questions over and over? You've been given the information you need to help your research but just panicking and not actually looking into it or listening to advice isn't going to do you any good at all.0 -
We have been trawling this site to find info - I am sorry if we are upsetting regular users - we have read the newbie must reads etc. but couldn't find a case that referred to the fact that my son did try to pay the fine when it was only £35 (my son wrote to them initially to try to appeal the fine in which he probably implied that he was the driver, which I now know doesn't help a case). On the previous advice of Coupon-Mad I managed to find Johnersh's responses to various different scenarios concerning responses but the info is a bit mind blowing when it doesn't actually relate to your particular problem. But thank you for all your help and again I am sorry for annoying posters.0

A search like: Johnersh Wright Hassall finds his suggested complaint in seconds.
I think you might not be searching the forum in the best way - always change to 'show POSTS' (not the default 'show threads' which takes far too much trawling through). Try the board search with the advanced option - using the search this forum heading just above the top sticky threads, level with 'new thread' - and choose show POSTS.
CLUE - the thread in question is back on page one this afternoon, right now. Not difficult to find, but I encourage newbies to navigate the forum and not wait for links which does not help anyone for future use of the forum, for being used to reading threads, searching and researching anything later (or indeed about any subject, another day).PRIVATE 'PCN'? I overstayed in a car park in Newcastle by 7 mins because I was busy helping a few people showing them how to use the ticket machine, I got the letter to pay them £60 and wrote back with photo's of ticket. I got a letter back saying that if I paid the extra amount of £1.50 within 14 days, that they would be unable to to request a payment in lieu for any further parking charge notices for this reason. I sent a cheque off by recorded delivery on the 12/4/17, then got another letter saying as i hadn't paid within 14 days I owed them £60, I sent another letter and cheque off for £1.50 again signed for delivery on the 8/5/17 asking them to get their act together and cancel this ridiculous claim. So far these cheques have not been cashed and this morning 26/7/17 I received a demand for £120 from ZZPS, in their letter they state :We wrote to you previously about this PCN, they have not !!. any help would be greatly appreciated, Yours Gerry Robson.0

Surely you checked and saw they'd signed for the letters, that's what the tracking number is for. NO REPLY HERE, WRONG THREAD.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Many thanks for taking the time and trouble with me Coupon-Mad - Found it straight away on your instructions and now drafted a letter along the lines of Johnesh's advice to Wright Hassall. Thank you again much appreciate. I am getting an understanding of how this works now, and I realise it must be frustrating for regular posters.0

Wrote to Wright Hassall on 28 July based on Johnesh's advice to another poster. They responded by letter dated 21 August basically saying they deny their letter was misleading or threatening they were merely making us aware of what action they may be instructed to take if the matter remains unresolved. It goes onto say they believe the CPO, ZZPS and WH believe their charges are fair and reasonable (bearing in mind they are now requesting £171). They don't believe their letter is in contravention of the Law society's Warning Notice 11.06.2013 and are satisfied that the debt recovery process is not in contravention of this notice. They say not all employees are listed on their website (in response to our comment about Tim Hawker). They say some motorist have received misguided and misleading advice from online forums using template letters and they will not respond further to our correspondence unless we provide new evidence to substantiate our claim. We have 7 days to pay the £171. Letter is unsigned by Jane Clarke, Customer Assurance Team.
Any advice from anyone on this ?0 -
State that refusing to correspond doesnt mean their obligations under the practice directions, and wil be raised as further evidenece of unreasonable behaviour should a claim be issued.0
