  • Hi cloogy I've sent you a message
  • Hi all, I'm in the same boat and am coming up against a similar problem.

Previous owners had panels installed by ISIS, which went out of business a year or so after we moved in. Consequently we've never had any contact regarding the panels (the previous owners weren't very good at passing on information!).

We're now coming to re-mortgage and are facing difficulties with lenders being unwilling to lend to us without clarification on the panel.

Reading through the thread suggests Calder and Co are the people to contact to find out who now owns the lease. Is this still the case as far as anyone is aware?

    Thanks in advance.
  • Just been reading through this and it got me concerned as my Solar Panels were installed back in 2011 by ISIS Solar (MARK Group) so I dug out the folder I have with all/any correspondence received relating to the panels. In September 2019 I received a letter from a company called Freetricity telling me that they were contacting me "on behalf of Domestic Solar Limited, the owners of the solar PV system installed on your property" and that they (Freetricity Operations Limited) are the new maintenance providers for my solar system and will be my point of contact from here onwards.
Their address is 1 Filament Walk, Suite 203, London. SW18 4GQ.
    Their telephone number is 0203 189 4500
Their support email address is support@freetricity.net
I've not yet tried contacting them as I've had no reason to but hope this might help some of you.
  • I contacted Freetricity recently because my roof was leaking and it was because of damage caused to tiles during the fitting of the panels in 2011 by ISIS Solar and Mark Group.
I was expecting all sorts of excuses but they said straight away that they were responsible for my account and would send a technician to look at my roof.
It did take two months and some chaser emails for the technician to come but he arrived and stayed for two days. Removed all the panels and replaced about 100 tiles. No request for us to even pay an admin fee. I was quietly pleased with the service.

  • Updated info on who now owns the panels. Strange how they keep changing hands and we are never informed!

Had a call from Freetricity today as they need to come and do a maintenance call on the system. Appears they are now maintaining the system. Google them if you need to contact. they have a good website.

questioned the lady that called and she was very helpful. The system is now owned byJLEAG SOLAR 1 LIMITED. They seem to be at the same address as Freetricity
  • We're moving, having had our panels installed by ISIS Solar (Mark Group) back in 2011.  An email to legal@Freetricityplc.com got a very quick response, where they confirmed they are the right people to inform, sent the paperwork for our purchasers to complete (a simple form) and made the transfer of the lease really straightforward.

Much, much easier than I had feared.
