You can see the amount of money that's matched. It's the trouble with financial betting on Betfair, the liquidity's lousy so the spreads are huge.

It should be possible to use it to arbitrage but not until there's more ilquidity.

"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

It was. I've got no choice, I have to. 50% pay cut (slightly more actually) but I should be independantly wealthy in a few years if it goes to plan.

    Liquity is a problem.

    Have you tried Spreadfair?

There are many different types of hedge fund. Not all of them are leveraged plays on the US housing market.

I found out the other day that many (most???) money market funds that really should be safety first have lots of CDOs/MBSs in them. It'll be interesting if one of those blows up. A great time to be a lawyer.

I'm reasonably happy here. It's just this hedge fund thing dropped into my lap and it's far too good to turn down.

BofE should hold. It would not surprise me if they cut by .25, given that they have 'given up' on inflation (as far as i'm concerned). Inflation CPI at 1.8 per cent: yeah, right:rotfl:More likely, a cut next month. I would actually raise by .25 this month.

I don't think they should cut - there is no way that CPI is 1.8%. I'll dig out a "Fed up with the Fed" email I got the other day which rants about the FOMC.

Spreadfair is quite good, Generali - my OH uses it a lot to bet on rugby spreads, it's run by Canters.

Also, check out Efinancialcareers.com and Cityjobs.co.uk - I know you have to move by May, and these sites are pretty good.
