the payment for the car was always made even if it was a couple of weeks late.

The account is not in arrears nor has it ever been, yes payment may have been a few days late but never to excess.

A couple of weeks is nearly half a month in arrears not a few days, with a few payments that late it is not surprising that they are going to repossess.

You may want to start saving most of that £15k a month you send home if you're planning on buying a house in the next couple of years because you may find it hard to get a mortgage.

I see nothing but red flags from this OP. In case it needs to be said out loud, please don't contact this guy personally.

Jesus - I realise this is no help now -
But on that crazy salary, why didnt you just save up for 3 months and buy the thing outright ??!!
Ah! But that would be far too simple and uncomplicated.
For what it's worth. If I was working away for most of the year, I would not have an expensive luxury car sitting in the garage depreciating away quietly on it's own. It takes a special sort of financial logic to think that that could possibly be a sensible thing to do with one's money.

Finance co wouldn't repossess unless the account is in arrears. Just because you pay late often doesn't mean they'd Default the account and repo... Obvious troll thread.

Unreliable? I have always paid my bills on time and have a perfect credit history until now! As I said before I work offshore and have no method of reading or contact with finance company when I'm away, especially given I was unaware of any issues, as far as I could see the money was gone from my bank account on a monthly basis and I knew nothing other than that! I have someone at home who deals with my financial affairs who has power of attorney purely for this reason and vw would not speak to her even with this when you called to let them know what was happening

I already have a house which is paid for, and half of my salary goes into savings which is where I can draw the 17k from!

For your info, this is not a troll thread and the account is not in arrears, it now seems vw finance have messed up and got the dates wrong, the payment was made within the time limit specified on the default notice and they have not updated account to show such

For your info my car is paid for which is also a high ticket item, This vehicle was purchased for my wife when I paid off my house, I was in the market to buy in cash but was persuaded against better judgement to take on a finance deal where I could trade in for new every three years
