I recently had a card transaction which went void due to the wire coming out of the card machine as it was being processed.
However, today is the 12th day and I still have nothing and no response from the retailer.
I am at a loss what to do as I can't get a response.
What can I do?

If it voided during the transaction, that would suggest that no funds were taken.
Have they been taken? if so by whom.
have you talked to your bank0 -
Contact your card provider.
Who are the retailer? I presume it was a card transaction made in person & you subsequently made a 2nd payment?
Its possible the first payment is in limbo (or what banks call "ring-fenced"). Your bank should be able to tell you if this is the case. If the payment was actually made to them and is a duplicate, you should be able to dispute the transaction and attempt a chargeback. If its in limbo, you might need the retailer to confirm to the bank they won't be claiming the payment (not sure if the bank can release the funds without it).You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I had a similar issue when I cancelled an order, but it was showing as Pending and hence reducing my available credit. The card company said it would take a week or so to drop off naturally, but I contacted the retailer and copied their e-mail to the card provider, and they took it off straight away.no response from the retailer
You probably haven't permanently lost the money, but you want it back sooner. Can you get the bank to try and contact the retailer ? They may have other channels.0 -

If the sale was "voided" rather than refunded then that normally means no money is taken!
I'd be checking with your bank that you actually paid prior to demanding any refund....0 -
It's all very confusing, but the money has definitely been taken. It has affected by available balance, but still yet to show who it has gone out to!
However, the retailer (Coral, bookamker) have admitted that the transaction has gone through, but become void or somewhat. But they money was taken. They told the shop manager at the time that WorldPay was dealing with this, I phoned WorldPay and they told me that they can't talk to me, only the company.
But last week, Coral assured me twice the money has been sent. Twice. I still have yet to recieve anything!0 -

This might be the case.
However, how on earth do I get the money? I am not getting any answers whatsoever.
your back account will show 2 figures
Current Balance - this is the total funds in your bank account
Available Balance - this is how much of your funds you can use.
Lets say you have £200 in your bank account ( this is current balance), but your mobile bill has entered the bank system and that is £50. the bank system will take this from your bank balance and place it in a holding account until the provider actually claims it, but this £50 is taken from your account so now you still have £200 in your bank account, but can only use £150 ( available balance) if after a few days the £50 is not claimed then this will be released back for you to use0 -

People are giving you answers, but you appear to be ignoring them.I am not getting any answers whatsoever.
You don't appear to have asked your bank what is going on.
You are 'not getting any answers whatsoever' simply because you are not asking the right people the right questions.0 -
I have contacted my card provider and they have told me that Coral have took the money, but they have told me that this may take 10 working days.
However, let's be fair, it doesn't take ten days. I don't even know when/if Coral have sent the money.
I appreciate the replies, but I already know of the issues regarding balance & available. The money has left my account.0
