EDF are currently very uncompetitive in my area at the moment. I have just finished a very good fixed tariff with them, but now I'm moving away. I really don't see why they are maintaining the prices they have, they can't possibly be attracting any new customers!

I am with EDF for gas only and they have been unbeatable for the past 2 years on the open market and collectives (until the new EnergyHelpline collective and then only by £24). Their electricity prices have been horrendous but again the new collective puts them only £27 above the current cheapest.

Don't you think it is a bit odd though? Electricity is their business and the prices are horrendous, yet their gas product which I presume is mostly tacked on so that they can offer dual fuel, is competitive.

That said, their gas product (at least in my region) doesn't even come close to what I get from Zog.
