BT Broadband Scam Calls

The majority of calls from 'BT', 'your internet provider', 'Microsoft','Openreach' etc are not genuine. They are from foreign call centres operating a scam ; hence the urge to waste their time, if you aren't busy. I believe that the TPS cannot deal with these calls as they are not of UK origin.


Our Panasonic phones do have a call blocking facility, but we don't use it as the GPs' surgery, library,other civic offices and volunteers making private calls for a dog rescue, I help out,use caller withheld.

That's the advantage of the TrueCall system, as it allows callers to state their business and then you can chose to answer it. I have found that legitimate callers are quite happy to do this.
