Getting credit cards when unemployed

Now at the moment I am technically unemployed... I say technically because I don't claim any benefits and have started looking for work. It was a joint decision made partially due to stress, work that needed doing in the house and planning for the upcoming wedding in May that really needed to be done...
Anyway, my 0% is coming to an end soon and I need to start looking for a new card soonish. So... would I be accepted for a Credit card do you think? I have a very good credit record, no missed payments, etc etc and a mortgage which is covered by the OH (he earns a LOT more than me
)
Anyway has anyone applied for CCs and gotten 0% ones whilst unemployed?
