The Ipad 4 was first released in 2012 I would seriously consider you get the new basic 9.7" ipad for £340 direct from Apple. That way you're getting a brand new 2017 model that will be future proof in regards to performance and also the standard warranty that you get when buying a new product. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. You mean the iPad 4 was not future proof? :rotfl:
The OP current iPad was released in 2011 and 6 years later is giving him issues with performance.
To buy a refurb 2012 model to just save £110 is not worth it in my opinion.
So get a brand new iPad for £340 and hopefully the op will get 6 years out of that iPad and maybe more.
However if you have experience buying tablets that are 5 years old and getting them to perform with the latest Software that it can take for a further 5 years then please share? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The model number is found on the back of the iPad's and according to apples own website the model number for the basic iPad is A1822 so I don't know where your getting that model number from?
Also I'm very surprised that the basic iPad that came out in April this year would be selling for only £230 after refurb. Does not sound right to me?
Update/
If you want the latest basic iPad that I talk about for cheaper elsewhere then please get the seller to confirm that it is the iPad (5th generation) that's the official name given by Apple. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
