You don't need to wait until some future date. They have an active referral offer now. The only difference to the one we just went through are the end date, the deposit date, and the confirmation date.

Yes, this time I tried getting friends and colleagues interested but there were no takers.

I had a few people on the finished offer from posting on the referrals board but forum members are probably better served by those willing to split their bonuses and I didn't like the unexpected disclosure of personal details so have now decided our accounts are heading for closure once the money is returned.

Well they exceeded my expectations on how quickly they would add that bonus money. Have started the bonus transfer back to our joint account.

We are starting to build up a backlog of empty accounts to close. I am undecided on whether to keep one for future referral opportunities.

Do you have more than one in individual name?

I have to agree with you I was also surprised that names were 'shared' - I will add a note about this on my referral post.

I am aiming to do all the referral split payments by BACS tomorrow evening - apologies to those who were hoping to have it sooner but I am just too busy / knackered.
    I think....

We only have one each with Fineco but we have other empty accounts to close down with other institutions who offered sign-up bonuses. Many of them won't let you do it online or via email and require a phone call which is difficult with young children, work, etc.

If you are desperate to reduce the number of current accounts, the easiest is to just switch them, even if there's no switch offer. Works for most current accounts, though not for Fineco.

Yes thankfully Santander sponsored our clear down of redundant current accounts earlier in the year with lots of Amazon vouchers so it's mostly empty P2P and S&S general accounts to go now. It's a nice feeling of relief when each one gets closed.

edit: Woo the Fineco bonus money has arrived back in our UK bank account so has anyone worked out if you can close the account online yet?

I wonder if anyone has successfully received payment in euros to fineco euro account from friends/family living in EU.

We seem to be struggling to set up a payment from LCL (France).

Yes, I had a large payment sent to my Fineco Euro account which I then converted to Sterling before transferring out.

The sender didn't seem to have any issues after I gave them my IBAN which they put in their online banking transfer.

    What issues are you having?

The French bank is showing "REJET DE VIREMENT" - payment rejected. I have no clue :( The funds haven't reached my account.
