Saying that, I know alot of ppl that voted labour because they were against tuition fees and wanted to get rid of them, and then they went and trebled them!
Aren't some people thick. They were against something that didn't exist and wanted to get rid of them so they voted for the party that was committed to bringing them in. It was Napoleon and Squealer who introduced tuition fees and scrapped grants!Anyone has got to be better than Nu Labour!
I doubt there are many people that could do a worse job than this lot but anyone. Even Jade Goody?0 -
IIRC it was labour that introduced tuition fees not the Tories. They made a great play about it going to supplement the money already received by universities. Then, & this is the bit I love, they announced that instead of the money being in addition to the current funds it would replace part of it. The date of the announcement, the Monday after Princess Di died.
As it is the universities (oxbridge excepted) are still struggling for funds, as the student rolls get longer. It's only a matter of time before the limit on top-up fees is lifted, & eventually removed,
People still vote for this shower of cheating, lying scum & I'm not sure why."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

Blame 60 years of Socialism. The money's been blown on wine, women and welfare.
If they didn't blow so much on welfare (£200,000,000,000 goes on welfare spending and the NHS each year) then we could provide for ourselves.
I dno't know about you, but if I was buying my own healthcare, I wouldn't be spending nearly as much on politicking and bureaucracy as the NHS does!
While we're having a general(i) rant about benefits, the Tories* were saying these something like 5m people of working age who are not in work, but I thought we had record low unemployment & it was places like Germany that had awful unemployment rates.
*Not that I believe them anymore than the current shower of gits.
& house prices may go up & may go down - don't forget to keep it on topic people!!"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.

Thats Mr. Phirefly's conclusion everytime we have this debate. I have to remind him that the idea of emigration isn't quite so rosy when you consider the implications once Phirelets come along and theres no Phirenanny up the road offering free childcare....0 -

V good point, but maybe in other countries both mum and dad dont have to work 40 hours a week! Childcare is propbably cheaper abroad anyway.
If things continue the way they have been in about 10 years time all the skilled people would have bug!ered off out of here

Take her with you, or just move somewhere where it's cheap to hire one."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.

There may not be a Phirenanny up the road, but most countries have much cheaper subsidised childcare than in the UK!!
I bet the labour open the voting from 9am til 4pm when all the hard working high tax paying population can't get to the polls, and the huge % of benefit scroungers will make labour win, although they will have to drag themselves off the sofa away from Jeremy Kyle for 15 mins to go vote...I doubt there are many people that could do a worse job than this lot but anyone. Even Jade Goody?
Well, she had the sense to realise the latest b/f was in it for the money and kicked him out, so she must have SOME brain cells... i reckon she could give brown a run for his money!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
