I too have used Mesh Pc's for the Last 4-5 years & have never really had a problem with them i have bought about 8 Pc's for my company & never really had many problems I had to have some memory replaced on one & that was done within a week so i'm pretty happy with them TBH

I also have 2 Personal Mesh computers at home & nothings ever gone wrong with either of them *touches wood*

I've also recommended Mesh to several friends over the years and only one person has had a problem with them & is my only gripe with them he bought his PC with the 3 yr RTB warranty and had some sort of failure he spoke to mesh & they sent out a courier to pick it up & it was back with him within 2 weeks total so he was happy. then the Hard Drive Failed (It Happens) so he contacted them again & they instructed him to send it to them via courier and when he inquired how he would be reimbursed for the courier charge they said check your t&c's we only pay for the courier in the 1st year you pay for the following two years i thought this was disgusting (small print) & contacted my business sales manager to check it he said don't worry it won't apply to you as your Business we'll over look the charge but your friend will have to pay it "needless to say i haven't recommended them since"

But i don't think there as bad as everyone's making out
    >>>
Well I currently Have a Dell it never broke down,
I had a Gateway PC prior to that that was faulty a lot.
They no longer trade in Europe.

Talking about backing up up data what sort of Back UP unit is worth investing in to stop having PC messes up through viruses spyware, trojans and new software installations that screw up your pc?stop having to C Format and lossing ones data?

    Thanks Heidy

They Customer Rep was reluctant to email me the information eventually he promised he would nothing ever arrived :(
If I go to Dell for the PC with the specifications Below how much do you think it will cost?
Dells Tech Support Lines are in India but at least their Free.

Should I cancel this order with IdealShopping 7 days under EU distance selling Regulations?

    Heidy

the comment that you have made first about the customer service rep being reluctant to send you info across should ring alarm bells straight away !!!!!

goto the dell website and look at their pc which are comparitively better than mesh

if you have a bit of knowledge or know someone who knkoiws about pc you can choose a basic warranty and save some additional money there.

if a componnent fails then they can ship it to you or you can return it to base for them to do which could take 3 weeks or so.

most components are easy nowadays to replace

why buy off a 3rd party when you can buy off dell direct?
im not in love with dell, but ive used them many times for (laptops) value and fairly decent customer support.
    Get some gorm.
  • I am a freelance journalist and swap over PCs ever three years. I made the mistake of buying a MESH once, but never ever again, however good the price! The machine wasn't working correctly when arrived and got progressively worse. I spent a fortune on their technical support line trying to fix it. Although we did eventually get it up and running, it was never very good and got ditched asap. But their customer service is pants big time.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I've never heard anything good about Mesh.

I normally buy and build my own PC from parts or buy a cheap one, wipe the drive and then reinstall only what I need.

If I get requests for PC suggestions from friends/family I normally point them at the Dell website for a general use PC, or I suggest a self build for a highend games machine.

The only think is My Contract is With IdealWorld Shopping NOT Mesh computers,
I just hope I do NOT get a lemon of a PC, just a pc that works no need to use tech support I know after reading all those bad reviews the odds of this are like winning the lottery:)

By the way Dell's India Based Sales staff are appauling, they never emailed me with a Quotation or even send an Email.

I think maybe the local PC World would have been the place to buy www.pcworld.co.uk at least if thinks go wrong your not dealing with people anonymously over the phone/computer etc i.e distance selling
