Last time i chequed (boom boom) it was possible to cancel one.

Besides - it's a well known scam to send a cheque for a value higher than the purchase price then claim it was a mistake- can you please refund the difference?
Lo and behold, the cheque is a fake and you've already sent the buyer a refund of the difference.

Brooke - if you've never been ripped off on ebay, then you're very lucky!

It's only £45, surely not worth the effort of some elaborate scam?

I've been rippeed off twice, both times via paypal, I've had a few bounced cheques, but never before I've shipped anything.

Don't let greed get the better of you - as someone has suggested above there is a reason they are offering you this money and the chances are it is only going to benefit them, not you. I just hope you have described this item properly as you hear of many items on ebay being grossly undervalued / miss described...

A final PS - the item sold for £48 plus £9 postage, total £57.

I'm so glad I didn't accept the offer!
