I was transferred from a codeshare flight with ANA to Tokyo via Brussels. The Heathrow to Brussels flight was delayed so we wouldn't get the connecting flight. As part of Star Alliance they offered me an alternative flight with Turkish Airlines but that was delayed causing me to miss the connection in Istanbul. We were therefore delayed getting to Tokyo by 28 hours as the next flight was on the following day. I've complained to the airline but had no response 2 weeks later. Has anyone else claimed against Turkish Airline? Do the European regs apply?

I would see this as a claim against the airline that caused your delay, this would be the airline that was operating the LHR-BRU flight as it was due to the delay on this flight that you unlimitedly arrived 28 hours late
