    Buzzfeed....lol.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Oh dear, I hope you were not one of those castigating JK Rowling?

You are quoting false information (in good faith!)

The survey was of just over 3000 people not 20000. The 3000 made 20000 choices in the survey.

    https://www.buzzfeed.com/jamesball/remain-and-leave-voters-are-surprisingly-united-on-backing?utm_term=.uyjGAApQ#.dczV559g

    Interesting survey though:)
What on earth has JK Rowling got to do with my post and why would I castigate her?
Methinks that particular statement is nothing more than obfuscation.

As for "You are quoting false information (in good faith!)" - well at least I suppose you had the good grace to add the latter part of that.
What you did not point out is this from your Buzzfeed link "An earlier version of this story misstated that the researchers surveyed 20,000 people."
    Why?
It is obviously then an error - and one made by the author on Buzzfeed themselves. ;)

The Independent correctly references the study - but their report was published well after the Telegraph one and hence after Buzzfeed's correction had been made.

This study is indeed interesting though as it expands upon the YouGov survey from the beginning of August.

This was a failing of Government which the referendum gave people the opportunity to blame the EU.

Why are we raking over and over old ground yet again. The other EU members totally disregarded the UK's viewpoint. The die was cast.

    From 2013.
David Cameron will warn the European Union on Friday that it must restrict the free movement of people from poor countries that join the EU in future.

At a summit in Brussels, the Prime Minister will urge his fellow EU leaders to learn lessons from the mistakes made when Romania and Bulgaria joined the 28-nation bloc in 2007. His initiative will be seen as an attempt to reassure Conservative Eurosceptics, who are worried about a possible influx of Romanians and Bulgarians when they get the right to work in the UK on 1 January.

In future, Mr Cameron wants new member states to reach a certain level of income or economic output per head before their citizens enjoy full rights to freedom of movement throughout the EU - one of the Union's fundamental principles.

Just to underline to whichever idiots still think Gina Miller has brought her persecution on herself by daring to disagree with their bigotry, there is an apposite article in the Huff Post today.
Throughout this process, Miller insisted on the simple principle - which had until Brexit been taken as an axiomatic component of British democracy - that parliament should have a say in a crucial decision of such unprecedented national importance. For that she was mocked by the tabloids as the ‘millionaire Remainer’; condescended to by the ghastly Kwasi Kwarteng; subjected to a vicious hit-piece in the Daily Mail which described her as a fake and a self-publicist.

Naturally she has also been threatened with sexual violence and death, because for too many people in this country, it is unacceptable that an ‘uppity’ coloured women should stand in the way of ‘the will of the people’ and remind them that the country’s democratic institutions are supposed to act as a check on executive power. After all, as the racist aristocrat Rhodri Phillips put it, while offering £5,000 to anyone who would run Miller over, ‘If this is what we should expect from immigrants, send them back to their stinking jungles.’

So Miller has been threatened with gangrape, and lynching, and many other fantasies pulled from the most rancid sewers of white racism. She has been told that she should be beheaded and burned at the stake. And now she has been threatened with acid attacks, to the point when she and her family don’t dare go out onto the street, and she is considering leaving the country.

I hope she doesn't leave. One Gina Miller is worth a thousand of the baying imbeciles accusing her of being a traitor.

I can't see why she would stay though.

I've asked you this efore but you didn't answer. Do you have the same opinion about people who made death threats to Nigel Farage?

    Death threats are never acceptable.

But her and Farage are not the same. Miller wants parliament to have a say, Farage is happy to destroy the UK in the hope of being a somebody.
Everyone bleating about sovereignty should be right behind Miller and chasing Farage out of town.

Oh dear, the pro-remain pro-EU contingent in this forum are in an ever-decreasing minority from the looks of this:
"Most Remain voters now back taking control of borders, leaving ECJ and paying no Brexit divorce bill"

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/11/remain-voters-now-back-taking-control-borders-leaving-ecj-paying/

It looks as if the attempts at propaganda and continuation of "Project Fear" are having the opposite effect to that which is intended, as is so often the case when such tactics are used.
    :D

That is an extremely bad effort at skewing what is actually said in the research.

A majority of people still want EU citizens to be able to make the UK their home on less stringent terms than for non-EU nationals, a majority are happy for the UK to voluntarily incorporate ECJ judgements into legislation and an overwhelming majority want full free trade, more so than those who want tariffs.

I'll find the research paper shortly (just got home and haven't eaten for 13 hours) so you can see what it actually says for yourself.

So, it looks like nothing more than the attempts at propaganda by a biased, right wing press are still working on Leavers minds. :D:cool:
