Car hire Nice

Options
Hi, we're going to France by train in September, and looking for car hire picking up and dropping off at Nice Ville station.
Can anybody recommend any particular companies? I can obviously look through all the big names, use Expedia etc but also happy to consider local companies if there are any recommendations. I speak very little French so if using a local one I would need to know they speak English.
TIA for any help

Use google maps to see the companies near the station and then check their websites and reviews. Be careful near the station in some quiet streets in darkness.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • I have used Sixt and Europcar in the past and would choose Sixt any day. They have an office near the train station.

Oh god that's awful. Did you get any kind of apology or refund later? Will make sure I check that possibility before I book.

no refund - no apology and can't get anywhere emailing them... had to hire a car that cost close on £800 as no other cars available with hertz as bank holiday...
