I know its nothing to do with hair but sometimes i soak my feet in fabric conditioner, makes it easy to cut my toe nails, lol
  • Yes I have used it too especially when headlice are visiting, as it is so silky then cannot cling to the hair and comb out really easily.

And your hair is soft and fragrant the next day

but I only use the cheap softner just as good as any other

How do you use hair conditioner as fabric conditioner? I mean, do you mix it with water first? If so, how much conditioner to how much water etc?Any ideas would be very much appreciated.Jx

You can use fabric conditioner as hair conditioner.

If you do want to try it the other way round, I should think you could just mix it to the same consistency as your regular fabric conditioner.

    Hi jak,

There's an earlier thread that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep all the replies together.

Littlevoice, some people do use it the other way around:

I have often wondered what the difference was between hair conditioner and fabric conditioner but ive never been brave enough to try it on my hair.

I regularly use mayonaise on my hair as a conditioner but if you try it, make sure you cover your head after its been applied. If you dont it dries out and it takes a hell of a lot of rinsing to get out of your hair.

Another tip. I have dark brown fairly long hair with loads of bleached blonde slices in. As you can imagine, the ends of my hair are very fragile. I find hand cream (at the moment i am using The Body Shop Body Butter) is brilliant on the ends before its washed. I applied some body butter on my ends a few minutes ago and i will wash it out in the morning. Go easy on the amount though, you only need a bit to work through the ends.

  • going off the subject slightly (sorry)

i was told instead of buyin anti dandruff shampoo just put a paracetamol in your normal shampoo and shake around, and it works the same.

haven't tried it though, so dont blame me if it goes wrong

I would have thought it would be more likely to be aspirin than paracetamol as it can also be used as a face mask can't it?
