Maybe paint your card a more suitable colour?

The Co Op one or the TSB one?

Whichever is your least favourite i would suggest.

Alternatively if you have a strong dislike for both then paint both :)

If you're not happy with cards and PINs arriving at the same time don't do as I did and apply for 4 current accounts in one weekend. Lots of cards and PINs in the following Friday's post. Then you've got to match the right PIN the the right BOS Debit card which all look the same.

Actually, you may have hit the nail on the head there!

The hassle any would be card thief has matching the 4 different PIN numbers to the 4 different cards may just be enough to dissuade him from pinching the cards in the 1st place.

I ordered a new TSB Visa card the other day which arrived in the most this morning.

Alongside it, in a very similar envelope was my PIN number

Surely Banks shouldn't send cards and pin numbers out on the same day like this?

When you order a replacement debit card it's not normal to also be sent a new PIN.

It fepends on the reasons for the replacement and the bank concerned.

This happened with my Halifax card and pin, when the account was first opened. It is not standard practice to be sent a pin with a new card for an existing account, unless you request one as you have forgotten it, or think that your account has been compromised.

All banks/building societies do send them on separate days, but I prefer not to put money into the account until one of the two is in my possession, in case this happens and it is taken. Around here at least, we don't even see a post person some days, so it looks as though their round can just be too big for the time they have and they have to skip some streets and do them the next day. Otherwise, some items do take longer to get through the system than others, even though the same service is used.

Looks like sending PINS and cards out on same day in envelopes which make it obvious what they are isn't a good idea - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-41081396

My recent TSB card arrived in a plain envelope.

When it did arrive I knew what it was straight away.

It's not hard really to disguish what was in the envolope before I even opened it.

They are not sending them out on the same day though. Posties will get to know what is in envelopes and will take the card one day and wait for the PIN.
