Just wondering if anybody else had problems with Thompson & Morgan and if/how they were resolved. My chilli plug plants were dispatched on 01/06. Seven days later and I'm still waiting. I am losing faith that they will be in any useful condition if/when they finally turn up. I'm new to online garden centres so I didn't spend big to limit my losses but I'd still like an exchange/refund if the plants are, as I fear, DOA. I've emailed T&M a few days ago but I'm still waiting for a response. This has really put me off buying plants online

The seeds I ordered took 10 days, but don't think they were in the post for those 10 days. I think they are slow getting them into the post0

Just for info T & M was recently sold "Thompson & Morgan parent company Branded Garden Products has been acquired by The BVG Group." not sure if that makes any difference but perhaps a bit of upheaval at Ipswich?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

never had any issues with T & M and have used them for years.
OP give them a call rather than email, they will replace the plants0 -
I emailed then last Tuesday about an incorrect plant being sent, heard nothing for longer than expected so sent them a nudging email.
Got this back yesterday:Thank you for contacting us; your email has been received safely.
We are really very sorry that we are unable at present to respond to your email within our usual quick time frame. We promise we are working hard to respond to queries as quickly as possible. Please bear with us and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can – this may take several days.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that this delay in responding may cause.
We'll be in touch soon.
Later on in the day I then received this email:I can confirm that I have arranged for a replacement to be sent, which will be despatched by the end of June. It does appear that the wrong plant has been sent. I will forward the details of this to the relevant department to be looked further in to.0 -
I had purchased a packed of cucumber seeds from a local garden centre ( ave 10 seeds), but 12 seeds were in packet, out of that we got 2 germinated, so we got another pk of a different variety (ave 4 seeds), but 5 seeds in pk and we only got 1 germinated, so 3 plants out of 17 seeds. Emailed T& M with the ref numbers on the packets and all the dates when packed and when to sow too. withing 48 hrs got an email back to say replacement seeds will be send out to me. within 7 days the packets arrived.
First time we had issues with T& M products, but first time i have never bought direct from them.
so their CS is excellent0 -
I ordered from them for the first time this year, and 80% of what I bought has died already.
The plugs I bought from B&Q re still going strong though ...
I definitely won't be buying anything from T&M again, and I will warn anyone who asks for my view of them to steer clear of themSmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
