travel money for teenager travelling to US

My daughter is travelling to the USA with school. She has a Bank of Scotland debit card which I know is one of the cards from hell. I haven't had a good experience using prepaid cards in the past and their rates don't look much better. I don't really want her carrying a lot of cash. Any advice?

Depends how trustworthy she is. I know you're not supposed to but you could always get a Clarity card in your name and let her steal it for the holiday.:eek:0

Quite a while ago one of my colleagues did similar for his two children (aged 18 and 19) when they went to Australia for a year, he gave them each a credit card in his name for emergency use only.
The youngest had £7000 worth of emergencies and the eldest £5500!0 -
Thank you.
