DVLA - Number for an actual person!
Hi all,
I applied for a provisional licence online and sent off the paper form with my birth certificate 2 weeks ago, yet my application online says they are still awaiting the form. I tried calling and just kept getting automated advice, no option to speak to someone. I'm a little worried as I only have a birth certificate as proof of who I am! How do I actually speak to someone about this??
Oh and the email form again just ended up sending me automated advice to my email!
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried calling the number and then just waiting ... not selecting any options?

No idea if the number listed here still works:

I know this is too late now, but I never send actual documents by post, always photocopies. (marked "COPY") If you don't have a scanner as part of an 'all in one' printer, your local library will have a copying service, or a photography shop.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Which won't help one bit since the DVLA require the original document to be provided when applying for a provisional Driving Licence.0 -

I thought all copies had to be legally certified and not done yourself.0 -
Yeah, It stated only original documents
I did try to just wait, but they just repeated the options again! It's a nightmare!Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok

What are the options you are given? Normally (not always) with these automated systems, if you press "0" you will go through to a person.0

This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Being delivered and received are two different things for places like the DVLA.
Did you send then with tracking?
After delivery it takes time for them to get to your letter and update the system.0
