vehicle control services ticket

Hi,

i am looking for some advice,

so a couple of years ago i owned a BMW and have since sold it. i own a few rented properties and yesterday one on my tenants emailed me a copy of a letter from a company called BW Legal saying my case had been passed to them and i owe £154.00 for something. the letter is the first i have heard of this and the letter has been sent to a rented property i have never resided nor was the car ever registered there also the ticket is from may 2015 (2 years ago)

after contacting BW Legal to find out what this related to and the details he informed me that this was a manual ticket that would have been stuck on the car but to my knowledge i never came back to the car to find a ticket.

i have requested photo evidence and more information.

this is a private car parking company, does this sound like one of those ones where i ignore them and they go away?
