Afternoon all - still waiting for the promised / threatened rain here.

My marking is not complete, I only had two sets of work on my email, the other two are on the desktop of my uni PC so they'll have to wait until Wednesday now, I'm annoyed at myself.

I spent a great deal of the morning compiling two spreadsheets and the populating them both. It's all part of the plan to make sure that financial information is easy to hand and is easy to track. Just realised that I've got a couple of regular savers maturing next month so need to sort that.

Then my lovely neighbour from up the hill brought me masses of sweet pea plants. No planting out took place as I need to get another couple of pots and soil, there's nowhere suitable in the garden for them so pots it will be. As I'm going up to Oban tomorrow anyway I'll scoot to the garden centre too.

We sat out in the garden chatting and drinking coffee - most pleasant it was too. The wee blue tits were happily ignoring us and continued to flit around and feed.

I'm taking some stuff to the Oban tip as there's a little place in there which takes unwanted but useable goods and sells them on. The best part is that they take electricals, PAT test them before selling on. I've got loads to hand over, here's hoping they also take professionally recorded cassettes as nowhere else does, that I know of.

Now it's time for a wee rest!

    Afternoon all.

Welcome Silver-Oldie, hope that you and your lovely OH are having a great day.

I had a good nights sleep and was very happy to wake up without any pain in my hip, just some stiffness, will wait until tomorrow to go for a walk!

Cloudy and showery here most of the day, was lovely to have DGS2 and DGD2 here this morning, especially as they made me 2 lovely pancakes for my breakfast! Theyhave gone home now, will see DGS quite often, but am unlikely to see DGD before the end of July, as she will, be off to Japan with her parents to visit her other grandmother as
soon as she gets school holidays.

Looking forward to our few days away in the south west, need to get into my family history stuff as a second cousin from Australia is visiting towards the end of next week to see if either of us has information to pass on to the other....I havent been into FH in a while, not really sure where some of the stuff is!

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulagions Dumpling on your weight loss.

    Marie

We are having bolognese for dinner, DD1 is cooking, not sure that she trusts me any more!

    Evening everyone

Today started off wet and windy but it's now lovely and sunny but there are big black clouds hanging about.

Welcome Silver-Oldie and happy birthday. I never have anything of interest to say but no-one seems to mind!

Busy at work today, had to speak to management about my lazy colleague, not sure it will do any good but it makes me feel better. Went for a walk to the shops after work, nice to get a bit of fresh air.

I've had birthday cake (builder left some on the doorstep) for tea, must try harder tomorrow!

    Well done dumpling.

    Take care. XX

I'd never heard of Ariana Grande either, my DGD's are into Closer by Chainsmokers!!
Totally inappropriate but they don't understand the lyrics yet.

    Evening everyone

Silver-oldie - happy Birthday & welcome, this is a lovely thread.

Had a bit of sunshine this morning but turned to rain. Managed to get an hour out in the garden. Kitchen sorted & dw emptied.

Also completed another application form for another job. Checked messages on other job and I've got through the shortlisting just waiting for assessment/interview details, I'm so happy as when I used to do the job when I lived up north I enjoyed going to work (I worked there for 9 years).

Had some tough talking with dh, he apologised but depends how long it lasts. I'm not here to put up with all his emotional stress anymore, told him he needs to deal with it and not take it out on me.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.
