    Good morning
I read this thread every day and wondered if you would mind if I join in?
Problem is I have very little to say.
You all seem such lovely people, with so much happening in your lives.
Today is my Birthday, don't think I will see anyone, only my lovely DH.
Hope you all have a good day.

Silver-oldie forgive me for not noticing your post. So glad you've joined us and have a very happy birthday. _party_

If your DH is as lovely as you say he is, you really don't need anyone else.

Just a quick check in before I rush off I mean hobble to work.

Happy birthday and welcome silver-oldie, I wouldn't worry about not having much to say, my posts can be dull as ditch water and nobody has told me to bu**er off yet.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

At an early stage, but it does make life a little more challenging.

    Good morning

A very special hello and happy birthday to silver-oldie. You have just joined a lovely group of people who very quickly become your virtual friends. Im sorry to hear about your husband though that must be very hard for you. As far as not being interesting well you would be surprised what we are all interested in so just telling us about your day is the key whether it seems boring or not I guarantee we wont :D

On that note my day is my dreaded Morrisons with Mother day (sounds like it should be a tv programme on CBBC) Taking her for lunch after and want to discuss a doctor visit as she really is looking thin now and everyone at the funeral noticed. I am hoping he could maybe give her a drink to boost her normal food. First hurdle though getting her there ...shes a stubborn old bird.

Have to start cracking on with all the paperwork as well but that may have to be tomorrow.

French onion soup with a Gruyere crouton was just gorgeous even if I do say so myself. :o 3 big pots to take to mum too, one out and a couple for the freezer.

Loved, loved, loved the concert last night and even though I felt a bit old by not knowing any Arianna Grande songs I really enjoyed her and thought she did amazingly well so close to the trauma she went through.

Hope everyone has a lovely day and if you need a laugh then think of me gazing at bananas for ages ....:D

Welcome silver-oldie and happy birthday, I hope DH has a good day for you.

I'm home after nearly 3 weeks in Yorkshire and other points north. I won't be hitting the ground running though because of this horrible bug - it took me ages to get to sleep last night because I was coughing so much.

We saw DS and his DW after we got home. They have been to view a beautiful house and are thinking of putting in an offer for it. It will mean a longer journey to work for both of them at the moment so I'm a bit worried. It would also mean they were about 45 minutes away rather than the 5 they are now, but I have always known they would move further away.

Meal plans and shopping are on the agenda for today, I need to break my cycle of chocolate eating which has become very bad.

Good morning from a very rainy Glasgow,

I had a good weekend. Saturday I hosted my little party for the football which ended up being quite a late one, so most of yesterday was spent feeling sorry for myself.

Nothing planned for tonight apart from a nice warm bath and an early night.

silver-oldie - Welcome and many happy returns!
  • Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Welcome to silver - oldie and happy birthday, hope you have a nice day. Sorry to hear about your husbands problems.

Well what a change in the weather, I lit the fire yesterday afternoon, it was blooming freezing, not much better this morning, typical, I have a load of washing in and OH tells me its trying to rain. The wind is giving it some as well, the trees are wafting about good style.

Monday clean to do. I am going to steam the tiles and floor in the bathroom, the surface of the bathroom floor is non slip and not easy to clean with a mop, hoping the steamer will do a better job. I will be crackered when I have finished, but needs must, at least I do not have to change the bed and fight with the duvet.

Fritatta and salad tonight, will use up the contents of the second container from Saturdays tea. We used one up for lunch yesterday.

silver-oldie Good morning and welcome, pull up a chair and join in ,and by the way Happy Birthday honey .You OH sounds lovely and you love him and thats all that matters, irrespective of his problems, he is still that person underneath that you fell in love with, and I'm sure you will still give him a cuddle of reassurance . :)

We all witter on a bit on here, but no more than if we met at a bus stop, or in the queue in a shop.Communicating to each other is the best way of keeping you on an even keel when things look a bit lop-sided (as they do sometimes..

We are all here to cheer you on and up when things in life get you down and are a shoulder to cry on, or just someone to listen when you ask a question .

Nothing is daft to ask about, I have been on this forum since about 2004 and I have heard some good, bad and downright hilarious questions

I have seen folk come, and sadly go, but each one has contributed to a bit of life's rich pattern, and I for one am very happy to 'know' you all

Some of whom I have even met over the years and they all have been like minded souls, and I don't think I have fallen out with anyone :):):) at least I hope not :):):)

You will enjoy reading our ups and downs, and I hope we can share yours as well :):):) Right thats it chuntering over and ...

Good morning every one ,a sunny day at the moment in north Kent, but I think we are due some of the wet stuff later .

Yesterday DD and two of her lads and I went to Westgate for a ride and a sit by the sea.We had our normal light lunch in the cafe there, and just sitting in the sun and relaxing was lovely. One of the boys Henry has a few more GCSEs this week and we wanted him to have a small break from revising, I think it did him the world of good .He has Geography tomorrow and English lit. so good luck to everyone who has youngsters taking their exams this week.

When we got home my son-in-law had fired up the BBQ (he was also doing revision for part of his end of term exams he is doing a part-time civil engineering course :) so BBQ was last night feast.

Then we watched the concert on TV.I couldn't stop looking at the young girls heels of her boots .I would kill for a pair like that ,but sadly they would just be an ornament, as with my clapped out joints and dodgy hips it would be silly to even try to wear them (plus of course at my age mutton and lamb spring to mind :):):))But we can always dream :)
Today I am pottering around this morning, just catching up on a few chores indoors,no shopping to buy as I have more than enough fodder in stock to feed myself

Hope you all have a good Monday and are all safe and well.
Good luck Dumpling with your weigh-in, your coming on great if your trouser are too big for you well done honey :):)

    Cheers chums
