Couple of small payments today. Every little helps.
Finally got my butt in gear and listed 8 items/bundles on Eb8y. Trying a few things out to see which offers more profit. A few Buy it Nows, some auctions, some with free p&p but higher starting price, some like the old way I listed. Got a ridiculous amount to sell though as the youngest is growing so fast. Just always a faff listing them.
My trusted Henry Hoover broke last night, the on switch wouldn't stay on. Instead of looking to buy a new hoover as the old us would've done we've ordered a new on switch...just under £4! Frugal :money:
Forgot to mention we had our Smart meters fitted on Friday. Turns out that since they were changed by No-power in 2012 they had bypassed our Electric shower which we seem to have been getting for free...oops. but then again no surprise as No-power were shocking with us and I tell everyone to steer clear.
Anyway, it's a little obsessive looking at the device tracking our usage. I'm going round switching everything off all the time. Much to DH and DS annoyance as they keep thinking things have stopped working :rotfl:
Right, off to make tea. Just something random I've never made before with no recipe! !

Morning diary,
Just a quick update.
Today is my usual day off in the week. Hoping to get some more stuff on Ebay. Had a message off someone asking how much 3 of my lots would be if bought in one go. Gave them a price which is less if bought as separate lots and no extra charge for p&p . I'm guessing they didn't like that offer as heard nothing back...
Still, there's 5 days left on the ones I've listed.
1 week from payday. Will try and tidy accounts later and see what PADing I can
Must shoot.

I've tidied the accounts and managed £5 towards Next, £3 to the OD and £3 to the Emergency Fund. I'd love to have cleared the Next and OD within the next pay month - so that gives a deadline of the 15th of October.
Completed a couple of VO surveys today bringing me to a £10 cashout. Got the usual Love2Shop ecode which will be used for Xmas presents.
PA has been very quiet for me. Had maybe 2 studies in the last week totalling less than £1. It's also been a little glitchy for me and keeps bringing op a study with one place but the study is old and can't be done. Always the same study too. It's teasing me. I've got £16.29 payable and £2.55 pending. Want to get to £25 before I cash out as that'll cover my September £25 contribution to the annual bills account. Really hoping things pick up. I had such a good run at the beginning of August.
DD is being very very clingy at the moment. Struggling to achieve very much. Need DH to take both kids out tomorrow just so I can get on top of the cleaning and continue to decluttering.

Hello diary,
This morning I was looking through my time hop. It's linked to my Dropbox. Came across a photo of our living room 10 years ago just after we moved in. The furniture was set out differently. We didn't keep it like that instead changing it round and keeping it the same for 10 years, I've no idea why. Well today I just went a bit crazy and dragged furniture around and repositioned everything like the photo I saw. I'm now wondering why we ever changed it 10 years ago. There's more room now, it looks great. I even made sure I knew where I was putting the Christmas Tree :rotfl::rotfl:
It's meant I haven't put more on Ebay yet, will try later or tomorrow.
We're having a fakeaway tonight. Home made donner Kebab...or chicken kebab for the kids. Smells divine. Fraction of the cost of a real takeaway plus saving on electricity using the slow cooker.
Have nothing planned for the rest of the evening. Just spending time on pinterest getting ideas on decorating our bedroom. Forgot to mention we've got our new bed. It's an Ottoman in Superking size. .. £280 ...absolute bargain and OMG our backs are grateful. Our mattress is only a year old so didn't get a new one. The last bed was just not supportive anymore, the slats were bowing.
But before I can get cracking we need to do a tip run. DH back still recovering so that'll be a few weeks off. Hoping to have decorated and sorted most things before Christmas.

Morning
A few posts back I noticed that my Santander loan figure was out. I couldn't figure out how I'd messed up the math but I corrected the amount.
This morning I've been reviewing my accounts - via MSE Credit Check. I noticed that again my Santander loan amount was out again  We pay £155.45 a month towards that, which was what I was deducting each month. Turns out that the outstanding that shows on the credit file is what is left without interest. So actually I shouldn't have been removing £155.45 off the balance each month.
The actual amount that comes off each month varies so much.
So....I've now established that we actually have £6528.88 outstanding so my list has been edited accordingly. That adds £1016.33 on to the outstanding :mad::(:( Ugh it messes with my figures so much!!.
I've checked the other loans we have. They are accurate as in the figure we've been given is the outstanding including the interest.
It will also mean that the DFD will be knocked back a few months because of this.
:(

I'm keeping the amount I've paid off the same, because although the outstanding debt total was inaccurate the amount we've paid this month is not. Think I need this psychologically
Signature has also been edited. I've taken £1016.33 off the total paid rather than adding it to the original outstanding debt figure. It makes sense to me to do it that way, I guess I can't bear to see that £37139.86 increase by over a £1000. Equally the debt amount isn't even that figure anymore due to what we've paid off. Anyway, I'm waffling, but I know what I mean.
It has meant that the lovely 12.66% total paid off amount has dropped to 9.92%. Look on the bright side I'll break through that 10% again which is cause for another celebration :rotfl:
Trust me....:rotfl:....I'm sure that the outstanding balances are accurate now
I'm hoping we can still achieve getting under £30k by the new year even with this set back.

That is so annoying that the amounts are calculated differently but there is some consolation that you found out now and not as you were adding up the totals in December expecting to be easily below 30k mark. Plus as you pay off the Santander loan you might not end up paying all of that interest. Does the interest charged reduce as the balance goes down or do you have to pay off that much even if you clear it early? Just thoughts for when you are next looking at your snowball.0

so my new Santander Loan figure is the total amount I would pay if I dont adjust my monthly payment of £155.45. I have 42 months left on it. I've found the paperwork for it now. It says that if I were to make an overpayment I can choose to either reduce the standard monthly payment and keep the term, or reduce the length of the loan. Ultimately an overpayment would result in less interest being paid.
Once I've paid my next account and overdraft I will concentrate on the Barclaycard. Approx £1450 of that is 0% until Nov 2018.
Other 0% deals end in either 2019 or 2020. So I'll make calculations on how much to pay to clear them within those deals and plow the rest into the loans so that I can reduce the amount of interest we pay.
God I hope there are no further nasty financial surprises to come...is it any wonder I got into the mess (jointly ) :rotfl:

Right!!
Let's move on from the set back from yesterday.
It's payday on Friday and I've had my payslip through so I know exactly what I'll be getting. Happy to see the expenses that were missed off last month are in this pay.
I've also still got money in the bank with only a few things due to come out or set aside for things prior to Friday (e.g. parking costs). It's meant that I've actually been able to take the plunge and pay off my Overdraft :j

I've had a bid on one of my Ebay items. That finishes on Thursday. Also got a few people watching the other lots so fingers crossed I'll make a few sales.
