He will need a local account for his day to day use and for his pay to go into, there will be branches of these on base. He will be able to have some of his pay paid into a UK account, the majority of UK banks are happy with a BFPO address and internet access should not be a problem. What does he want to save for ? Long term probably best to keep it in a UK account. Best place to ask is on one of the UK armed forces forums and his base should have their information booklet on line.0
