In case OP doesn't come back, Admiral paid off Excel like they did in my one and in return Excel cancelled - they got a nice sum of money, just a little bit less than they were claiming.
This is going to get expensive for Admiral - they should be taking Excel to task, not paying them off, because that is doing nothing to discourage Excel from targeting and ticketing permit holders (it's doing the opposite, Excel are being paid for tickets that probably wouldn't stand up in court so it's a win-win for them).
What is wrong with Admiral giving Excel a list of reg numbers of permit holders? They take the reg number when the employee signs up for the parking so there's a record of them (and the implication of having to give your number plate is that it is for this very reason). Admiral can then insist that Excel cancels any tickets given to permit holders (or they don't give them in the first place). It's really not rocket science. But they just won't do it.Although a practising Solicitor, my posts here are NOT legal advice, but are personal opinion based on limited facts provided anonymously by forum users. CEL then commenced a blizzard of county court claims against what seemed like everyone who hadn't paid their ticket from years previously, and to put the icing on the cake they sued 50 Coop staff whose VRMs they'd recorded, even though they were whitelisted as employees. We don't know how the staff court case went (although suspicion is that the Coop paid it off).
Vengeance at its most venal and rapacious! Admiral might want to look carefully at this, before it potentially ends in tears in Swansea. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Admiral are one of the last remaining companies that includes third party cover for their insured drivers to drive any other cars. Most other companies now exclude this.
But yes, it's the same Admiral. Apparently still family-run! Well they should look a bit more at looking after their young employees then....Although a practising Solicitor, my posts here are NOT legal advice, but are personal opinion based on limited facts provided anonymously by forum users.
