What a shame it was so bad i hope its not put you off doing others

No it's not put me off, think I shall just be more careful about the ones I decide to do. Think maybe it is worth paying a bit more for a stall at a well organised event.

    hi
don't think my cakes are that good, for covering the cakes i either use a
bib or wash cloth, one one of the three tiers (not even sure if the photos is on ) i used elastic threaded it top and bottom and pulled it in if that makes sense. I have just having ago at using some tissue paper, later on today dd and i are remaking cakes for next weekend so i will try and post some new pics.
    with regards to towel
    1 fold in half triangle
2 bring long end to point (were hood is)
3 then i would fold again
its a bit hard without doing it
i use paper to make the towels or blankets look better it holds them in position. best tip i would say is you need a few pegs and a tape measure
i could'nt make these cakes without them.
i measure nappies and then iron muslin cloth putting paper in.
    well will get on
sorry i could'nt be of much help
they is pics somewhere on this thread about folding thought it was rusty but it might not have been

Can anyone give me advice on the following please:

After not selling anything at the fair yesterday I have been emailed by someone who passed on my details to a garden centre/gift shop. I am talking a "very" nice garden centre in quite an affluent area. I have been asked to email then pics of my cakes today:eek:

If you were to hit the top end of the market where would you purchase your items for a luxury nappy cake? ie. blankets, toys etc.

My most expensive cakes have been using Disney store items but I don't know if that would be allowed to go into a shop. I don't now if Asda, Matalan, Mothercare would be different enough or expensive enough for this type of place. Maybe they just won't be interested!!!!!!!

    Any adivice? please

The toys are the same make as the blanket etc. but maybe just look a bit big.

lrlrip your cakes are lovely, and the size of the toys make no difference at all :)
