Its a bit of a nightmare trying to find all the boxes etc. I am thinking of this as I took my cakes round a lot of shops last year and everybody said they were too big too display. One guy said he used to stock the smaller items like sock roses etc, so I thought I might have a bash at those adn the cupcakes, i havent even attempted them!! Julieh, you are so lucky with the shop you are supplying as about 2 years ago a local shop took two of my cakes but he added nearly 100% onto the price!! Surprisingly the 3 tier sold for £60.00, I got £35.00 for it, but the two tier never sold. If he hadnt put such a huge mark up on them I am sure they would have sold well. That kind of put me off shops but I dont mind trying small stuff to see how that goes. xx0

By the way riggerz your products look very professional. Look forward to browsing your site. I love looking at everybodys sites. Not something I would ever do, but love everyone elses.:T0 -
I wondered how you approach the shops you'd like to stock your cakes etc. I'd love to ask in a few places but don't have the nerve and the know how
Do you ask them to buy your cakes at less than you'd sell them yourself and let them decide their own prices or do you ask them to display them and give them a percentage for each one they sell
Any pointers ladies??
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

Thanks Julie....hope you don't mind me asking more, just trying to get my head round it all.........
.....say for example if you were to sell a cake normally to someone for £30 would you ask the shop to sell it for £30 too, but when they sell it they give you £24 and keep £6?
