I got no issue with the so called "previous century" in the credit card section, its small and compact which is how I think websites should be, "mobilised sites" I am not a fan off.

The only thing missing which I would like to see is a "pending transactions" list.

Yes, Tesco Bank's app is quite good. Their website is a hybrid - the banking part is modern looking, but when you want to view your credit card details you're dumped back in to the previous century.

Their (Android) app shows pending transactions, which their website doesn't, however, I find selecting it a little fiddly.

I guess you have a couple of years interest-free purchases. It's quite tempting to use the card and kick paying the balance off in to the long grass. In your position I would try to make extra payments as and when I could.

I used my card, like a loan, for several purchases, nearly up to my limit. 28 months to pay it back at 0%. I just made sure that I set the repayment amount each month, so I clear it before the 28 months ends.

Of course it means, I'm unlikely to use the card again, until it's paid back, but I'd rather do that, then gradually spend on it, then realise I have a few months to pay back a few grand.

I find with a credit card, it's so easy over a month, to just spend on it and then when the statement arrives, think, wow I thought the balance was only half of that, because you've forgotten those £50 - £100 purchases from nearly 4 weeks ago. :D

Well my card arrived today and I finally know my credit limit.

I tend to use the 0% on purchases for a mix of day to day stuff and as a 0% loan for bigger purchases but I've always been careful with money and it will be paid off in full long before the end of the interest free period.

The best one was my Nationwide one that gave cash back on all purchases, I put everything on it every month except bills on DD. It was cleared in full most months and within three on the few bigger buys while still on the 0%. I made a fair bit off them in cashback.

At least this one will give me clubcard points, while I don't shop in a Tesco all that often anymore I do pop in now and again and usually use the clubcard boost around xmas to pick up a few bargains so I'm still getting something back from it.

I think the Nationwide card is better for cashback. It pays 0.5p for every £1 spent.

The Tesco card offers 1 Clubcard point for every full £8 spent in a transaction. Spend £8, get 1 point. Spend £7.99 or less, get no points. Spend £15.99, get 1 point. Points aren't accumulated on the statement balance. They're accumulated per transaction.

    Hi guys !!

Thanks for all these replies, I'm grateful :)

Update: I have received card and pin and online banking is okay now and have done a BT already.

It took about 2 weeks almost to be able to access online banking.
