Hi,
I signed up for Tesco 32 month BT, was accepted, signed electronically and then signed up for online banking, was logged in etc.
An hour later, I tried to login to Tesco card online, but was giving error and saying can't log me in now, please try again, so I called up Tesco online help and they said it's a new account and they don't see anything here !!
Funny thing is I haven't received a confirmation email yet !!
Did some search online, not much answers, but mostly said Tesco does not send confirmation email but I should expect PIN and card in the post. Has anyone had such experience?
Thank you

I've been a Tesco Bank customer for a couple of years, so already had online access when I applied for two credit cards from them recently.
It took a while for both cards to appear in online banking. Before then, a message along the lines of the accounts being setup was displayed. There was a delay of a day or so before that message appeared.
PINs arrived first, followed about a week later by the cards. You probably shouldn't expect the PIN until the later part of next week.
I didn't receive email confirmation from Tesco Bank either.0 -
Thanks SnowTiger,
I have recieved a text message this morning saying it's opened and I should recieve my PIN/card in the next 7-10 working day.
Thanks

When I applied for a Tesco credit card it never showed up in my online banking even after I had received my card and PIN.
I had to phone them in the end and they had to merge my savings and current account online account login with the credit card account. It took about a week to complete but both now show up when I login to online banking.
If you account doesn't appear then there may be a behind the scenes problem.0 -
My new tesco purchases card like the virgin money card is taking ages.
The card is already available online. So I have a statement and it shows below my existing tesco card.
I got the pin number last saturday.
Now still waiting for the actual card.
When I rang tesco they said they cannot consider it lost until the 13th which I think is around 10 working days. What I find odd is normally the pin number and card will be within 1-2 days of each other.0 -
I'm sure that, when I received my Tesco CC a couple of months ago, there was an "add credit card" option when logged into my existing account details.
Top right of screen if memory is correct.0 -
I applied for a Tesco CC last Sunday for their 30 month interest free on purchases and I got no confirmation of any kind to say whether it was approved or not, fast forward to Thursday and my new PIN arrived in the post, two days later and with a non post day tomorrow I still haven't had my card although it's obviously been approved or I wouldn't have had a PIN.
Decided to try to sign up for online banking to at least find out if they have given me the full 30 months interest free and what my credit limit is and can't even create the account until the card arrives as I need the card number to do it.
They really don't seem to be the best at communication with these things, just an email or text is all that would be needed with some sort of confirmation and when to expect things to arrive.0 -
tesco card did arrive friday, but couldnt post as literally 5 mins after here went away for weekend.
I could already check online as I already had a card registered with them, they auto registered my second card.
They confirmed my terms when I got approved (full 30 months and advertised APR), I also got confirmation on the letter the card arrives on.0 -
Between acceptance and having everything set up and running was a pain with Tesco.
Got accepted, pin sent. I'm sure they then said, set up account online, but I couldn't until I got the card.
Then I get a phone call to say ring them and they went through asking me questions about the answers on my application. They said card would be with me, in the next 5 days. But the card was already with me, or would have been had I been in when they attempted delivery
Then I set my account up online and got the app. I activated the card and used it for a few purchases. Then I get 2 more emails over the coming weeks, to say, we see you haven't activated your card.
Now it's up and running, no issues and I like the app in particular.0 -
Tesco card app is excelent.
Though I've had to use my card more often than I anticipated-+75% limit usued an thats since their kind auto increase months after receiving the card.

I shall contine to leave that for a while and allow 25 dd payments to slowly reduce o/b
Maybe I'll find a fiver to add to payments, simple as it sounds it's a decision not taken lighlty whilst working reduced hours.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -

Yes, Tesco Bank's app is quite good. Their website is a hybrid - the banking part is modern looking, but when you want to view your credit card details you're dumped back in to the previous century.
Their (Android) app shows pending transactions, which their website doesn't, however, I find selecting it a little fiddly.
I guess you have a couple of years interest-free purchases. It's quite tempting to use the card and kick paying the balance off in to the long grass. In your position I would try to make extra payments as and when I could.0
