What settings changed? I didn't notice settings changing when I updated. How much tweaking had you done that it needed 2 hours to reset?

Erm, did you not see the list that I posted?

Classic Shell - had to re-enable
    Screensaver - had to re-edit
Language bar - had to uninstall american
One Drive - had to disable
File association - had to say 'no'
Asus Smart Gesture took the time - tried to get it to work as before but ended up having to uninstall which took an age with CCleaner and Control Panel, then reinstall
    Bluetooth - switch off
    W Defender - edit

Then I tried the 'give us feedback' thing which wanted me to download an app to do so, but wouldn't install but didn't tell me why!!!

A simple question before I started asking if they minded me having some of my settings messed with would have been nice !

Yeah, it changed some of my settings too such as registry tweaks to remove arrows from shortcuts (I know they're shortcuts... I'm hardly likely to install Photoshop to my desktop, am I?).

Regarding themes - Right Click your Desktop, go to Personalise and then Themes and you can save whatever your current settings are as a theme.

Right and as soon as you restored such a backup it would be updated, we saw how many businesses lost data when they were dragged into Win10 in the first place.
Yes it all updated without any lose, when i had to setup my old PC again after the new PC i purchased was faulty and had to go back.

Not noticed any changes except the control panel appears to have less options that previously? Or i am going mad and they were not there in the first place?

Yes, they've moved some more stuff from Control Panel to Settings.
The Themes are now properly in Settings for instance.

It seems to me that MS make changes for change sake.

Why on earth did they mess around with the start menu for desktops for instance - all that lead to was a bunch of complaints and third party apps to emulate the earlier appearance.

What was so wrong with the control panel?

The bunch of phone style apps that originally only ran full screen put me off MS apps forever so I never intentionally use them even though when they've changed my defaults without permission I see that now they are are least windowed.

I don't think MS have an exclusivity on that issue, do they?

Noooo... Take Android... OMG... No you cannot move apps to the SD card, Update 1.. Yes moves apps to SD.. Update 2 remove the feature.. Update 3 add it back... Update 4.. remove it because its a security risk, Update 5 add it back its fairly secure.....

Then the BBC news APP... I has a single line of all the latest important news then they spoilt it. I had to uninstall it and search out an old version APK.

Battery tool, forget the name. New improved version. No you have spoilt it and they had so many complaints they had an option to revert back to the previous one.

Torch APP, Improved functionality and bug fixes = We have added a ton of adverts....

So many stupid changes for the sake of change. Like/HATE with windows 10 though. And the last Halifax online banking update... Why do i now have to go through 3 more processes to pay my CC bill compared to the older version?

Why do i need to go through menus to select something that was clearly visible previously?

So nope MS are not the only ones.
