Change of Broadband Providor

I have wanted to change from talktalk to BT mainly because I want Bt Sport to be able to watch more of the Rugby Union games they transmit.
However there are so many complaints about Openreach delaying connection from agreed dates, and generally appauling customer service, with difficulty in talking to customer service.

Hence my question, is, has anyone had a satisfactory transfer to BT: Or any other broadband supplier?

The chances are that any migration between providers using Openreach's network will be done on the due date/time without any issues, obviously things can go wrong, but that will be in a tiny percentage of cases, but it's human nature that people tend to voice their grievances on forums such as this, when things go wrong, but hardly anyone would take the time to post about good service.
If you do migrate and encounter a problem, it would just be bad luck.
If you do migrate to another provider make sure you use the correct process, 'gaining provider led'.... You let the gaining provider do everything, don't be tempted to call the losing provider after the process is set in place

Yes i transferred between multiple ISPs with no problem . Open Reach often do not need to do much at all unless you are a new fibre customer .

BT Sport will become chargeable from 1st August 2017 .

I found more RU sources via Wheresthematch.com .
Gives a channel list of most matches .
EG watched Ulster via BaBas last night via BBC Red Button . The England match was on BBC Iplayer the next day .

I have never had any issue changing broadband suppliers. In my experience the changeover has happened when it was supposed to and with no issues.

I've changed to multiple suppliers with no major issues. Also, moved from a LLU supplier back to BT, and from standard broadband to fibre. All except one changed over on the day it was supposed to, even the one that didn't it was up and running the following day.

In recent years I've moved from Virgin National (no cable) to Plusnet to Origin all pretty seamlessly. They all took place overnight with no discernible break in service.

Mine switched yesterday from talk talk to BT. The only problem is that BT don't tell you the new connection settings as they send you a new router, but they make sure the router arrives on the day of the switch. My broadband had stopped working at the beginning of the day and the postman arrived in the afternoon. Eventually I hooked my computer up to my mobile and googled for the settings, so I was up and running on my old router before the new one turned up.

The last time I switched to plusnet the line switched on one day and the broadband didn't start working until the following day. It didn't happen when I switched to them before and it hasn't happened when I switched to any other provider, even though their customer services are adamant that this is what always has and will happen.
