Ebay parcel delivered to neighbour, now lost

Obviously not fair to leave a negative just because the item was misdelivered, which is clearly not the seller's fault - but quite fair to comment on how willing (or otherwise) they were to help.0 -
Because it isnt fair. As other posters have said, get the seller on board and you may get further forward. It can work if you are positive.0

This could end up a sticky wicket between you both. The seller could say there was no specific details from the buyer where to leave the item, which I'm afraid is true on his part, if you live in a block of flats/complex etc... and not in at the time.
If the item was expensive, I can see your frustration, but as the allotted time has passed, I'm not sure you'll get a right result out of this. Might sound a daft question, but have you enquired at your local sorting office. Maybe some advice from there?
I am very specific about not leaving any items for me at my neighbours under any circumstances.
It is a nightmare to get your items from them if you don't know them or when they're home and of course, it's not unknown for them to just keep certain items like obviously shaped electrical goods.
Some mobile shops, like carphone warehouse has a strict policy that the item must not be left with a neighbour.0 -
so would you leave positive feedback. The seller employed the courier, you never got item, you cant leave feedback for courier, so what is wrong with leaving negative feedback for the seller as you have negative experience.
I think this is your trump argument if you leave specific delivery details for your delivery and they weren't followed. The seller posted them out. He doesn't know if you live in a private building or a shared complex. Ebay would probably tell you the same too.0 -

If the seller is sympathetic and helpful, of course I'd leave positive feedback - they've done nothing wrong.0 -
I had a similar thing a few weeks ago.
The seller used Hermes and it said securely left in porch and I don't have a porch.
I did open a case. However, I'd advise against it.
Lucky for me the seller didn't upload the tracking otherwise it would of be case closed in the seller favour.
My item turned up 12 days later. Obviously item had gone to another property and the person then dropped it off leaving it on my doorstep!
Does the seller now know you have your item? Have you repaid the money to them?0 -
My experience of ParcelFarce is the driver has exploited the opportunity to steal the item0

Its a strange one, you pay extra for signed for , only to have the postie leave it with someone else , you cant do anything and the sender cant claim because its showing as been delivered and signed for!!. I had a buyer message me at xmas saying when would i be posting an item out, i looked at the tracking ad it showed as delivered i got her too look on Royal Mail track and trace at the signature and she said it was her son he had put 7 items in the boot of his car, and not said anything!! Good job , because i had read that i couldnt claim and neither would she be able too .0

A signature doesnt mean it cannot be left with a neighbour.0 -
