Really don't want to be forced into moving because of an election.
If you are a genuinely worried about this, you can solve your worrying by doing some research. For example you can read the Labour manifesto, and read the Conservative manifesto, and make up your own mind.

When you sit down and actually look at the facts - not the ridiculous hyperbole put out by the opposing political party - you'll be much more confident. There is actually much less difference than some people will have you believe.

This is really no different to people who say that they worry the NHS will cease to exist in 2 years if the Conservatives win. This is what happens when opposing political parties mindlessly exaggerate to try and score some cheap political points.

It is a shame that so many people fall for this nonsense, rather than actually look at the facts and making up their own mind.

Anybody who has a job, savings, a home or wants a home and votes Labour has serious problems.

It just wont happen so don't worry. However neither party have a credible policy to make homes more affordable.

He said there'd be the new land tax which would cost him 5000 a year on our house, so there'd be no point in him continuing. Is he right?

He's wrong. Are people still falling for this Daily Mail BS?

Anybody who might ever need the help of the NHS, the police or fire service, their local council or the education system and still votes Tory has far more serious problems.

As mentioned earlier, that's a made up figure from the Conservatives who haven't even managed to cost their own manifesto but seem to want to make up costs for the [fully costed] Labour one. Of course your landlord doesn't want Labour to win, Labour want to build affordable housing, social housing and improve the rights of tenants including forcing landlords to improve living standards in private rentals (how very dare they ;) )

Not the right board for this type of thing really.

But just FYI, the labour governments of the past have borrowed far more than the tories....

Why would 'everyone' sell up? There might be a few landlords operating on very thin margins who would, but there will still be millions of households who can't buy their own place or be housed by the council.

It's ok for you to give your viewpoint but not the opposition?

The national debt has trebled since the Tories have been in power. £1.7 trillion. FYI.

Spending money makes money. Labour want to reinvigorate the economy.

The tories simply gouge at what's there and redirect the wealth to the richest in society.
