There could be 1,000,001 reasons ..

You're going to have to be a bit more specific

What pages are you trying to visit ?
Is it only certain pages you have problems with ?
Is it trying to download stuff that triggers the error ?
    Is it random ?
Have you scanned for malware ?

    etc etc etc........,.......

Probably because it's not responding. It's a pretty coherent message as far as browser problems go.

I guess you want to know why it's not responding.

Usually caused by an add-on not working properly.

What exactly do they need to sort out? All working perfectly here.
You need to launch FF in safe mode and then reintroduce your add-ons one by one to determine which one, if any, causing the problem.
FF will usually tell you why it's not responding, what messages did you get?

Another poster on a brand new computer got the same thing. It was Outlook email and only started after the automatic update to 53.3. A kind forum member did help but cannot use my normal bookmark now.

Seems that Palemoon is also affected.

Also contains workaround? Doesn't affect me, not tried it, use at your own risk. :D
    Move along, nothing to see.

As posted on another thread on this site, Firefox latest version is only 53.03 NOT 53.3 (I have just rechecked to confirm) so has a rogue been loaded?

Perhaps go to Mozilla web site and reinstall for starters?

Edit: yes as pointed out by D below I have a typo. Should be 53.0.3 as latest version. Still not 53.3 quoted by OP .....unless that too is a typo
