Pestered by seller - help please!

I left negative feedback, saying an item is not suitable.
Since then, I have received a stream of messages, asking me to remove my negative feedback and offering me my money back as an incentive.
I wrote saying "The item you sold does not fit the watch. I feel it is only fair to other buyers to warn them. You are welcome to refund me, but it won't change my feedback."
That has had no effect - he keeps messaging me.
Any suggestions?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Complain to ebay - but think carefully about how accurate/helpful your feedback is to other buyers. If you have just said 'not suitable', without saying why, I can understand the seller's frustration. Equally, if you left feedback without giving the seller a chance to remedy, that's pretty unfair too.0

Report them to Ebay and then ignore them. If you respond then they will just keep sending you messages. It is up to you what feedback you leave and regardless of what you write or don't write, there are no grounds for harassment. I would report to Ebay. They can see what messages have been sent.0

The simplest thing to do is ignore the messages and delete/mark as read in bulk without opening. They can only bother you if you let them bother you.
That said, if you've left negative feedback without allowing the seller to resolve, you can perhaps understand the frustration. That doesn't mean they should "stream" you with messages, but one persons "stream" might be another persons trickle.....0 -
Perfectly reasonable for a seller to try and make matters better by offering a refund - and it's a pretty small minded buyer who doesn't identify an olive branch when they see one! The item wasn't suitable, you're offered a full refund - where's the problem? Leave neutral feedback if you must, but at least give the seller credit for trying to sort out the issue.0

If you look at the original posters wording carefully, it appears that the seller is not offering a refund to make things better with the purchase, but purely as a bargaining chip to remove poor feedback, and the implication is that they can continue offering the shoddy goods without any deterrent to others.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. A refund does not change the fact that the product sold was not fit for purpose or incorrectly described. It is the sellers responsibility to get the facts of their advert correct; if they are wrong then they should be given negative feedback0

The OP doesnt say that the item is shoddy - just that it is "not suitable" . It may be either that the item is not suitable because it is shoddy /poor quality or because it doesnt fit the one particular model of watch owned - but this isnt stated in the OP0 -

This is true, however what led me to believe there is a problem with the item is that the OP said "I feel it is only fair to other buyers to warn them.". Perhaps they may come back to elaborate?
I must admit, as soon as someone said a load of emails begging for removal of negative feedback I did automatically assume a far east seller with all that that encompasses in terms of quality.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Why not suggest to them they amend their listing? That's a far more constructive approach.0 -
Leaving a neg for something that's 'not suitable' seems OTT. Was the item badly described, broken or took ages to arrive?0
