Packaged Joint bank account fees

I had a joint bank account with my ex Husband. The account was a TSB platinum account with fees every month. However, my ex opened the account when he started a business and I was added to the account as a joint account. I was not present at the opening of the account, however the account was opened with a £1000 overdraft facility. We had the account for 10 years and paid account fees every month during this time.
My question is, as I was not present at the opening of the account, can I still claim for 50% of the fees that I feel was unfair as we never used most of the features of the additional add ons.

You may not have been present when it was initially opened but would have signed some T&C's when you were added to the account. I assume you knew what type of account you were being added to?
Wht are you only complaining now? Just because you never used most of the benefits does not mean that you can claim the fees back. That wording actually suggests that you did use some and therefore the fee was correct.
In any case, I doubt you can claim for 50% of the fees on the basis that you were not present when the account was opened. Have a look at Martin Lewis's guide and see what that says, or post on the Reclaim board for answers from people with more knowledge than me.
