Stupid question (?) - how do you get a long carpet roll into a flat?

Just get the carpet company to come out an measure up. They will deal with this sort of thing a lot. If you have an old carpet you might want to make sure the price includes disposal of the old carpet.

Part of the measure will be to take account of any access problems.
Fitters deal with this sort of thing regularly and will have a way of getting the carpet in. Just sit back and be amazed at how easy they make it look. You simply don't need to know how they will do it or worry about it.0
