what was stated in the email ?

I think that more than any discussions over the phone will add adhesion to your side of the disagreement.

Can you post the email . Redacting any personal information[

    To summarise

_1. LOT 471 IS THE SAME ( OR NEAR ENOUGH) TO LOT 253 IE !SIMILARQUANTITY !& QUALITY OF LAMINATE IN THREE SHADES? _
_2. I MADE A PHONE ENQUIRY LAST WEEK & SPOKE TO A VERY HELPFULCHAP ON SITE !( YOU?) WHO CONFIRMED THAT DESPITE SOME BOARDS BEINGOBVIOUSLY DAMAGED, !I WOULD FIND PLENTY ENOUGH UNDAMAGED PLANKS OF A SAME COLOUR TO FLOOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF ROOMS WITH, SO I ASSUME
SAME APPLIES TO LOT 471. _
_3. I CAN ARRANGE A COURIER THROUGH YOURSELVES FOR £59.00 ANDDEADLINE IS 25TH MAY ( WOULD I ADD THIS TO INVOICE ALREADY RECEIVED AND MAKE ONE PAYMENT). _
Even at such give away prices my life will simply not be worth living
for the foreseeable future , should a !palette load of mostly unusable
    laminate land on our doorstep;-)

( end of copied email statement)

Copy of email as requested I suspect that not mentioning the room sizes in point 2 doesnt help my case at all?

As said in previous post if I'm on a hiding to nothing in terms of my time and sanity it might be better to let this go. What angers me most is the fact during two telephone conversations on above , I made my expectations absolutely clear ( including room sizes) and the person I spoke to was really helpful , gave me clear assurances and I totally believed his replies were truthful.
  • Your story has now changed.

What you are now saying is that you spoke to someone about a completely different lot, and got their guidance on that lot. You then later emailed the auction house asking them to confirm your assumptions that what they had said about the first lot also applied to the second. Do you have a reply to your email, where they do indeed confirm the details of the second lot?

Sometimes cheap can be expensive. Sometimes there's a reason a pallet of scraps are sold off by auction for professional floorers to make an offer on rather than being a cheap consumer option.

Sorry to hear about your foot - this may actually be another reason why consumers should buy in consumer packaging, in case there were safety warnings, etc!

If the house is too big to afford, have you considered a smaller house you can comfortably afford? Just an option to help prevent overstretching if its making you ill. Some things in this life are just not worth the stress.
