Escalaters on the underground

Options
Ok this is going to sound really pathetic, but I am terrified of going down escalaters! I will avoid them if possible but I will be needing to travel on the underground between Euston and Waterloo in July, and I`m asking if anyone of you lovely people can tell me if there are stairs or lifts at these stations? I have about 1 hour between trains.

Yes I do know that lifts aren`t always possible given that it is underground:)

No lifts or stairs at Euston underground station I'm afraid.

    Definitely not pathetic!

No lift at Euston, but there is at Waterloo. You could get the bus if you really want to avoid them.

I can't stand them but can't avoid them. Take it in your own time and if anyone comments quietly mutter "jog on" at them. Once you're on I find it best to look forward, down or to the side makes me dizzy. Good luck!

A number 59, 68 or 168 bus from Euston Station bus stop 'B' takes approx 30 minutes to Waterloo Station and runs every six minutes or so during the day.

Stick you travel dates and times into TFL's Journey Planner for more accurate details.

From Euston national rail station, Euston square tube station is a short walk (400metres?) and only has stairs. I don't know how it'd be for getting to Waterloo though.

Would take over forty minutes with two changes - changing at Moorgate and London Bridge - to get to Waterloo that way.

Thanks for the help everyone, I think it`s something I`m just going to have to face. It doesn`t help that they are long and quite fast moving(to me), and other travellers can be impatient!

Use stations without escalators? Covent Garden for example.

Why not just use the buses quoted a few posts earlier, much easier surely?

Easier for sure, but with a much bigger risk of missing the train at Waterloo.

Okay then, any of the above buses or a taxi to Russell Square, Piccadilly line tube changing at Leicester Square to Northern line to Waterloo.
